Use a Dryer Sheet to Polish Mineral Stains and Deposits from Fixtures and Faucets [Clever Uses]

Use a Dryer Sheet to Polish Mineral Stains and Deposits from Fixtures and Faucets We've discussed some great uses for dryer sheets in the past, but this tip from Stylist is a new one. Just buff your chrome faucets or fixtures with a dryer sheet (an old one is fine) to remove hard water stains and mineral deposits and make your fixtures shine like new.

This tip was strange enough that I had to try it myself, and sure enough, it works as advertised. You won't buff away thick calcium stains or anything, but if you have a little spotting from your last couple of showers on your fixtures, a dryer sheet does the trick, and it doesn't have to be a fresh one either - before you toss the one you pulled out of your pile of dried clothes in the trash, you can put it to one last good use tidying up your bathroom or kitchen.

Stylist has a number of other uses for dryer sheets, some of which we've discussed, like repelling flying insects or picking up pet hair, but this one was interesting enough to warrant a mention. Have you tried this, or do you have another use for dryer sheets we haven't mentioned? Share your tips in the comments below.
