red raspberry Heritage, red raspberry leaf, herbal tea, herbs, everbearing berry

Red raspberry leaf is a remarkable herb. If you want to collect this leaf for yourself this fall, now is the time to do it. If you wait very much longer the healthful properties will decline.

Red Raspberry is the best single herb that we can take for total uterine health. The most popular use for Red Raspberry Leaf Tea is for mama and baby?s health throughout pregnancy.

Pick from early summer until fall. It is easy to string them with a needle on a double thread through the leaf to dry until they crumble.?These leaves will shrivel to a much smaller amount so always pick more than you think you will need.?Store out of sunlight.

Today?s herbal market is flooded with Red Raspberry. The problem is, most of it is sprayed, irradiated, old, and pour quality.

Make sure where you pick is free from sprays. Ask around to see if anyone has a spray-free patch you can pick from. If so, consider picking some for them, too and giving it back as a gift for allowing you to forage. If you grow it you can be sure, and the Bulk Herb Store carries only organic leaves.

Great selection of bulk herbs, books, and remedies. Articles, Research Aids and much more.

Also, red raspberry leaves are a wonderfully soothing and?healing remedy for a canker sore. Moisten a teaspoon of your dried red raspberry leaves with warm water until they make a soft clump. Place these moistened leaves onto the canker and hold it there as long as you can. This remedy will soothe the area and by the next day you may find that it is almost healed! This is a tried and true remedy used by many old-timers.

Fall is a great time (the best really, better than spring) to plant raspberries if you?d like to grow your own.?See my post on the?Heritage variety, an ever-bearer. They are very easy to grow. Put them where you can mow them on ?high? or cut them every fall for a very heavy summer and early fall crop.

Ours are just about done for the year. We harvest from July all the way until the middle of October if there is enough sun. With three year plants, we have been able to freeze close to 35 gallons this year and eat all we want fresh besides. Red raspberries are one of the healthiest of all the fruits with a very high ORAC score.

I?d love to hear about your raspberries and the varieties you like :-)

?And God said, ?Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food???And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.? ~ Genesis 1: 29, 31
