Packers tight end Brandon Bostick watched West Florence High win a first round playoff game.

The?Green Bay Packers?are coming off a bye week. Florence, South Carolina?native?Brandon Bostick?took the opportunity to come?home to watch his high school team, West Florence,?win a playoff game for the first time as a Class 4A school.

The 6'3"? 255 pound Bostick is a tight end on the Packers practice squad. He says, "My coach always told me to be ready, I'm always an injury away."

Bostick still lives in Florence. His brother Cam, and cousin?Akeem?are star players for the West Florence Knights football team. Cam caught a TD pass to put the Knights ahead to stay against Wade Hampton in the opening round of the 4A Division II Playoffs. Akeem, who has committed to play baseball at Georgia Southern,?caught two TD passes and set up another score with a long catch. West Florence defeated Wade Hampton 42-14 last Friday, at Florence Memorial stadium.

Brandon Bostick is a former West Florence star. He was a WPDE All-Zone football?selection in 2006. He?attended Newberry College, and finished his four year career near the top of nearly every major statistical category as a receiver.

Bostick?caught the eyes of NFL scouts at a Pro Day workout at Coastal Carolina last March. He went undrafted and was signed by the Packers on May 30. Bostick caught three passes for 28 yards in the NFL pre-season for the Packers.

The NFL minimum salary of a practice squad member is $5,700 per week. That paycheck would more than triple if?Bostick is called up to the Packers?regular roster.
